Health and wellness tips for teens

Include lean proteins like chicken, fish, beans, or tofu to diet, Choose whole grains over refined ones (e.g., brown rice, whole wheat bread). Limit sugary drinks and snacks; instead, drink water and eat healthy snacks like nuts or yogurt. Don’t skip breakfast-starting your day with a nutritious meal boosts energy and concentration. Aim for at least 60 minutes of moderate to vigorous activity daily (like biking, sports, dancing). Include activities that strengthen muscles and bones (push-ups, jumping rope). Limit sedentary time, such as sitting for hours playing video games or scrolling on phones. Balance school, social life, and hobbies—avoid overloading yourself. Limit social media use if it causes negative feelings or distraction.

Avoid screens (phones, computers) at least 30 minutes before bed to help melatonin production. Create a relaxing bedtime routine—reading, light stretching, or listening to calming music.  Limit alcohol consumption and avoid binge drinking. Drink water throughout the day, especially during and after exercise. Limit sugary sodas and energy drinks.
